Client: Mooi-Mpofana Local Municipality
Etilweni was engaged by Mooi-Mpofana Local Municipality to provide design engineering and supervision for the rehabilitation of four crucial roads in Bruntville Township. The project involved a thorough process of ripping and recompacting a 150mm layer of the existing top surface, followed by the construction of a new 100mm G2 material layer and the application of a 30mm asphalt layer. Additionally, the rehabilitation of existing concrete kerbs was undertaken to restore and improve the road infrastructure, thus enhancing the overall transportation network within the township.
Client: Eskom
Etilweni was entrusted with the complex task of planning, coordinating, and executing both planned and unplanned outages across 15 Eskom power stations. The project was led by a team of Boiler Experts, Balance of Plant Experts, and Electrical and Instrumentation Experts. Key functions included detailed planning and scheduling, Failure Modes and Effects (FME) management and compliance, electrical systems engineering, civil engineering services, and balance of plant operations. The successful completion of this project was critical to maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of Eskom’s power stations.
Client: Kwa-Dukuza Municipality
Etilweni was appointed by Kwa-Dukuza Municipality to spearhead the planning, design, and construction of significant human settlement projects in the region:
Lloyd Human Settlements: This project involves the development of 3,000 housing units, complete with integrated road networks, and essential water and sewer services.
Rocky Ridge Human Settlements: This initiative includes the planning, design, and construction of 1,000 housing units, similarly equipped with necessary road networks, water, and sewer services.
Client: Kwa-Dukuza Municipality
Etilweni was responsible for the comprehensive provision and upgrading of housing infrastructure for the Sokesimbone Housing Project. A major focus was placed on the rehabilitation of the sewer system to ensure its long-term functionality. This involved conducting a detailed hydraulic study and modeling, along with security evaluations, environmental assessments, and the development of precise project specifications. The project was executed with a strong emphasis on construction procurement, followed by successful construction and project close-out, ensuring sustainable infrastructure for the community.
Client: City of uMhlathuze
Etilweni was appointed for the design and management of the North Central Arterial Road. This project required a strategic approach to ensure that the arterial road meets the city’s growing transportation needs while promoting economic development and enhancing connectivity within the region.
Client: KZN Human Settlements
Etilweni was tasked by KZN Human Settlements to oversee the sourcing, supply, and delivery of essential building materials. This project was crucial to supporting the ongoing construction and development initiatives within the region, ensuring that high-quality materials were delivered.
